ARKAL AGF MODULAR SAND FILTERS

The filters are fully backwashed completely automatically, and during backwashing, the filters are washed with the filtered water, resulting in a very efficient backwash. The backwash duration of each filter unit is about 90 seconds. Backwash is done automatically depending on the pressure difference between the filter inlet-outlet collectors or according to the time. The control panel takes the tank to backwash mode. Filtered water is used for backwash.

All automation is done automatically by the microprocessor located in the panel. All units are fully automatic inverted depending on the inlet-outlet pressure difference or time.

The number of modules can be increased depending on the increase in demand

  • Backwash period is only 3 minutes. This saves water and discharges less water during backwash period (~ 1,0 - 1,5 m3)
  • Less weight, easy to mount. Crane is not required.
  • The collector system consists of unique 55 diffusers. By this way, the entire filter medium serves as a filter.
  • Needs small installation area even for big capacities.
  • All of the system is made from CTP synthetic material. It will not suffer corrosion. Can be used in seawater.
  • It is not affected by natural conditions. It can be installed outside the building.
  • The system can backwash itself with the water that it has filtered, no backwash pump is required.
  • The filter tank is easily accessible thanks to two service menholes providing easy access.
  • Capacity can be increased by adding filter unit.
  • Pressure loss is low. Low pressure feed pump can be used.
