Iron Manganese Removal Filters

Iron Manganese Removal Filters

Iron Manganese Removal Filters are used to remove dissolved iron and manganese compounds found in raw water sources. Dissolved iron is generally found in the form of ferric bicarbonate. The iron manganese removal mineral serves as a catalyst between iron compounds and oxygen, allowing the dissolved form Fe2 + to oxidize to the precipitable form Fe3 + (iron hydroxide). The iron manganese removal mineral is an ideal filter material at the same time, and the precipitates can easily be removed during backwashing. Iron manganese removal filters contains mineral media such as Birm, Aquamandix and manganese greensand. Before designing iron manganese filters, pH, oxygen level and cation anion mineralization of raw water should be checked.
