Reverse osmosis technology is the most sensible filtration technology that is known. In Normal ‘Osmosis process, liquid molecule transfer is realized from liquid phase of whose ion concentration is low and divided with a semi-conductive film to high- liquid phase of whose ion concentration is high. Whereas in ‘Reverse Osmosis’ process, with the method of applying pressure that is higher from osmotic pressure into dense water phase, the transfer of water molecules from denser phase of water molecules towards less dense phase. What enables membrane surface to remain constantly clean and without clogging is the ‘Cross Flow’ process that occurs in membrane surface. Thanks to cross flow, while some part of the liquid (product water) passes through the membrane, some part of liquid (concentrate) acts in parallel to membrane surface, and abstains un-purity from sticking onto membrane.
During the process of reverse osmosis, pressure is need and this pressure is enabled via a pump. Information such as, n Number of membrane that reverse osmosis unit is going to contain, membrane type, pressure to be applied, recycle ratio can only be obtained via a very good analysis of raw material character. ROTATEK Reverse Osmosis Systems are manufactured under three main groups of RV Series, RH4 Series and R8 Series.
