Salt (sodium chloride) is used in the regeneration of the softening systems. The salt used is produced as compressed tablets. Tablet salt production is done as mechanical tablet and refined tablet. Refined tablet salts are preferred due to less sedimentation than mechanical tablet salts. In softening systems, approximately 200 - 250 gr/lt salt is consumed at each regeneration.
